Well, the drone does not make the vehicle sound like a Honda - at least to me.

The amount (if any) of drone will greatly depend on the brand and style of system you want to go with. The exhaust clip thread may be a good place to start so you can get an idea of what the various brands, systems and configurations sound like, and read the comments in regards to the drone aspect.

My Magnum has a magna flow cat-back on it from the previous owner. The drone is quite noticeable in the cabin, especially in the back seat. However, in no way does it sound like a fart can. It doesn't sound like a farter from the outside either. I was following my wife home one day and she was in the Magnum. When the MDS would kick on it was audible from my car in the next lane at 65mph. But again, no farter sound, just a drone and it probably isn't even that noticeable unless you're listening for it.

^^^ agreed, I have the Magnaflows as well and if the music is playing, you don't hear the drone.

When my MDS kicks in, the exhaust note deepens.... no fart can, just a deep, low sounding growl.

We have the stock suitcase deleted and reso's still in place. On the hiway, when MDS engages it is noticeable, but sounds nothing like a 4 banger import.

Buy a Predator and turn the MDS off...problem solved! You can then buy any exhaust you want and you won't get the MDS drone.
