    That was back when they were vacuum operated. Now they have solenoids, position sensors and such. Who knows what is bad. For the PITA it is to get off and on, it was worth $60 to me to be one-n-done.

    Turn it off with predator and remove it...did mine still passed emissions with flying colours..

    what i meant was when does the EGR need replacing? 50,000 100,000 and are the parts at Advance good parts?

    They seem to last about 100,000mi for me. Every car that has needed one it was just before 100,000.

    Advance has it for $65

    What kind of difference does the egr make for mileage? Im at 80k, and ive been throwing P401 for a while. I always assumed it was from my srt headers, but it might be this, seeing as how we cut the groove in the headers and everything.
