    Key trick

I got this off a Dodge Truck forum under the super charger section, anyone want/able to test this theroy out?

The "key trick" allows you to bypass the speed limiter while driving. You turn the key forward ( like starting ) and you can then go above the 100-105mph computer limit. This will temporarily kill your speedometer and the ABS light will come on.
Or you can pull the ABS fuse out and bypass the limiter, ABS light will be on.

Does the starter not engage when you turn the key forward?

Attitudes are contagious. Mine might kill you.

It does not. Well, at least after the remote starter has been used to start the car.

Most newer cars have an interupt the starter circuit after it's on. (though some do not!). I could push the key forward on my 99 Intrepid and it did nothing while running.

I feel the same way, especially when I read magazines that show cars (that are nothing compared to ours) with a higher top speed.

Isn't this just an urban legend? I wanted to try it once, but I was to scared to take both hands off the steering wheel while going 128...

128mph, is that on all Magnums cuz about a month ago i got in a race with 2 bikes for kicks in San Antonio on loop-410 and my needle almost hit 140mph and then that was it for me. My buddy was driving and i was watching the needle. I dont know maybe my needle is off a bit.

i thought it was cause i was doing 65mph and a cop flashed me and i didnt think anything of it, then about 30 miles up the road a cop pulls me over and tells me i was doing 77mph i was like no way. well i didnt argue so i took the ticket.

but then i went to a town close by that has 1 of those speed limit signs that actually tell you how fast your going an di set the cruise on 70mph and it said 73mph, i gues maybe its just off when it wants to be.
