How are my times? 14.1 @ 97mph - 4486 lbs & bad launch

I'm lazy and dont see a dedicated 1/4 mi thread, so how are my times?

14.1 @ 97mph - 4486 lbs & bad launch (2.1 60')
Car: 2005 300C 5.7L w/ 15k mi, 100% stock on bald tires with the following mods: Superchips and 176deg T-stat.
Weight: 4083 lbs w/o driver and 4486 lbs w/ driver
(yes, i'm huge, 6'6" ~400 lbs)

Am I crazy in thinking that with an average size driver and a good launch (1.8 60') that the car could near mid 13 range? The #'s seem to indicate this.

i really dont think you could get a 1.8 60 ft....2.1 2.0 is about what these cars will do with out drag radials...

heres what i did with my all stock 06 300C all i have in it is a K&N filter kit my best time r/t .273 on a pro tree, 60 2.106, 330 5.97, 1/8 9.020, 1000 11.727, 1/4 14.003 99mph withsome good tires on there your times shoud get better i ahve some srt exhaust on mycar now havnt bin able to try it at the track yet i have a super chip comming for it also

2.1 is a good 60ft time, with stock converter and street tires.

ya i got my reaction time down to a.125 ill be able to go to the track on the 1st of june thats when the track is open again and i shuld have some faster times

that's good but you do know that reaction time does not affect your ET at all, right?

Numbers sound right about average. 2.1 is pretty good, my best on stock tires is 2.03.

ya i know the reaction time doesnt efect the 1/4 mile time it just puts me on front of he other car and they have to chase me down if they have a faster car

I am getting 2.1 60 ft times and 14.4 to 14.5 quarter miles at 96 or 97 mph with a bone stock R/T. I'm also a huge dude although I dont think it makes that much of a difference with a car this heavy. I'm considering a superchips and if I can get down to 14.1 like you did with a SC only it is sounding better. I am not a pro drag racer so this may be a newb question but is it normal that the guy who started this thread has very similar mph to me but is running .4 faster in the 1/4? I'm not sure I get it.

are these times with traction cointrol on or off and are you "manual shifting" the transmission or just in drive. i am curious because my buddy has an 04 stock evo but he cant drive worth a **** and i think i have a chance....
