    HEMI Charger feeling sluggish

Hello everyone... I jsut bought an 06 charger. Love the car but it seems to be very sluggish lately. When I first bought it, i was burning rubber all over the place, now I feel like somethings pulling me back.

I brought it to the dealer, they said the my ebrake was messed up, they fixed it and it seemed to run a bit better. But today im back in the same place. I pulled fuse 11, i dont know if should keep it out longer???? as for gas im using 89.. the engine is stock... ANy suggestions?

    Thanks

treat her nice with some 93 octane and drive through a full tank and see what happens....but drive her hard during this.

The dealer told me not to use premium. Can I damage anything by doing this?

if he told you not to EVER use ....then RUN away from that dealer and never talk to the idiot that told you that....your car was designed to use both...nothing will happen by using 93

The manual says to use 87 or 89, 89 is recomended - routine use of premium is not recommended. this can result in poorer performance...

    okay okay....settle down folks...
First thing you need to do is get the SC programmer. There's a few running aorund that will sell it at a fair price. (but you aint gettin' mine!)

Second...91 tune....performance transmission settings (to start with - keep it simple) THEN...tap that little ESP-button on the dash. (WHo needs traction control anyways! <kidding!>) THEN......STOMP ON IT!!! smoke those beotches right off the rims!!!

For now, Pull 11 for a little while (handful of seconds or so) <--accuracy at it's finest! then go out and 'test' the ride again!

got this off the chargerforums site - is this accurate - should i try it? any chances of damaging anything?

    Step 1:
Open the hood of the vehicle and open the covered fuse box on the passenger side of the vehicle.

    Step 2:
Remove the following fuses and set them aside:
    11; 14; and 16
These are labeled on the underside of the fuse box cover in a mirrored-layout fashion.
Fuse 16 is a Dark-Blue 15amp fuse found on the far right of the box
Fuse 14 is a Beige color 25amp fuse
Fuse 11 is a Neon Yellow 20amp fuse

    Step 3:
Insert your key into the ignition and turn the key to ON. Wait for the initial sequence of lights and chimes to complete. Do not turn the key off until you have reached Step 5.

    Step 4:
Without turning the key to 'OFF', turn the key to the 'START' position and hold it there until you hear a single chime. The engine will not attempt to start, this is completely normal. After the chime, release the key from the 'START' position back to 'ON' without cycling the key.

Repeat this step one more time, turning the key to 'START' and holding it until you hear the chime. Once the second chime has sounded, cycle the key back to the 'OFF' position and remove your key.

    Step 5:
Return to the fuse box under the hood and reinstall the fuses, paying close attention to replacing the correct fuses to their original location. Close up the box, and start your car.

You have no completely reset the PCM's adaptive memory, as well as cleared any stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's).

FIRST AND FOREMOST! There are NO such things as stupid questions!!

Just keep posting questions! We'll eventually get you all hooked up!!

Superchips programmer... VERY easy to use, and they are even site supporters/vendors.... LOTs of info in their area (see the vendor isle) TRUST ME, the transmission shifting results will knock your socks off when compared to stock!

ALL those steps above ^^ I have NO idea! I'm sure someone will chime in here!

superchips tuner is by far the greatest performance mod for this platform. just the transmission settings alone are worth there weight in gold. We've proven hundreds of times on this forum how safe, effective, and easy to use the programmer is to use.

As a long time member i'm telling you it is the best performance product you can buy for your car. If you don't bealive me here is a list of past mods

    180 thermo
    fan mod
    superchips
    long tube headers
    high flow cats
    cat back exhuast
    supercharger
    air to water intercooler
    fuel management piggy back
    etc...

the only mod i thought was worth the money was the superchips.
