Fun test drive...and a fuel question...

Finally got around to taking some time off work to go to a dealer kind of in the country near me...not quite the color and options I want, but went anyway to see how it felt and handled. I was quite impressed (no duh, huh?), but did feel the pulling to the right many have mentioned, even on a very flat road. Amenities inside very nice, huge trunk, great looking car, and nice to know the front end masks are already out for them (here in Houston we have terrible love bug seasons during the year that cover fronts of cars in dead bugs). Looking forward to them receiving a silver one in a couple weeks to see what that looks like since I am leaning that way anyhow.

Now for the question: Since it was just a test drive and I have no manual, etc. what is the recommended fuel for the hemi? Premium? Octane rating?

    Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the site!

I got this info FROM our specs page on the 300 regarding the fuel requirements...

    Unleaded mid-grade, 89 octane (R+M)/2 – recommended, unleaded regular, 87 octane (R+M)/2 – acceptable
Check out our specs page for the complete numbers on the car.

    300 Specs

Again, good to have you here!

Hi. I just wanted to SHOW you some pictures of my 300C in bright silver to help you make up your mind on the color or not.

In the last picture, you can see just how 'bright' the silver is. My wife's van
is a light silver color and before I got my 300C, I thought the van's silver was
really bright. But the Chrysler bright silver is really really really bright!
BTW - I have the darker colored interior and I don't think it is too dark. It looks
    very nice.
Good luck with whichever one you choose!

Why, thank you, thank you very much.
I should have posted a newbie post first. This is my first Chrysler product(been driving Chevy's for 20 years). I love it!
The pics were taken at about 7:00PM so they're a little dark. Once I get a couple of coats of Zaino on it, I'll take better daytime shots.

I do need to take pics of the interior, and they will be coming. All I have for now is the dash area.
