    dyno heat heads

has anyone dynoed just the heat heads or hemi shop heads. I was curious as to what the results were. Mine are going on tonight, hopefully I can dyno tomorrow or thursday. I am also putting the 6.1 intake on at the same time. I already have the krc 218 cam and hedman longtubes.

6.1 heads on a 5.7? nice compression bump but one hell of a port window.

You can get a 6.1 intake for like $600 at the dealer with fuel rails, throttle body and even intake gaskets.

Here is a picture. You can click on my profile over there and see the porting of the intake window. The 5.7 intake port is alot different, thats why I had it gasket matched to the 6.1 intake window. This is on a truck by the way.

(in response to Fast) we understand that..............the issue is "does it fit" and how they accomidated the fit.

i always thought the port volume in the 6.1 was a little lower than the 5.7 had. maybe im wrong.

i think i would have rather added some epoxy to the intake runner in that 6.1 and match up to the 5.7 port window.

the 5.7 bowl and the 6.1 bowls are close to the same size btw.

so many ways of doing it...

The plenum area is so much larger I would have worried the low RPM torque would actually fall...........

I would like to see epoxy added to the floor of the plenum...........

    We'll see..........
