Does this happen to anybody else?

I'm in traffic and the tranny is in D. I'm going about 30-35 and gun it to get around somebody. It downshifts, I pass and have to stop right away because the light just turned red. Right after I hit the brakes to stop, Blam! It up shifts. WTF? Guess I'm gonna have to use Autostick in traffic.

you got your superchips tranny tune in sport or performance mod?..I have mine in performance and she doesnt up shift...she holds the rev or downshifts......no bang into a higher gear on mine....

Neither. It's Custom, paddle hold. In D it acts normal, but in Autostick, it won't shift until I tell it to.

I read this thread before, but have never experienced that situation. I'm guessing that few others have either, or they probably would have posted. I can't recall ever having to hit the brakes after just passing someone. But, I have let off the gas after passing someone and it will upshift after sensing a drop in the throttle position. I'm guessing it's the same in that case. The car's tranny controls don't know that your stopping, but the speed and throttle position say that it should shift to a higher gear.
