Hope it did not go down the plug hole....gulp..

Probably a metric bolt, remove another and try an import car/motorcycle to match one up..

Go to a hardware store and pull one of the bolts and match it up. It's a 6mm bolt but I don't know the thread pitch.

It wasn't mentioned and being a bit paranoid I have to ask... did the bolt possibly go down an open spark plug hole?

let me get this straight. your inexperience cost you a bolt that chrysler doesn't service and that makes the dealer useless? ...amazing.

the coil bolts have special retainers to keep them from falling off the coil when the coil is removed. you need to loosen the bolts evenly to prevent the bolts from threading out of the retainers.

as mentioned earlier, i hope it didn't fall anywhere it can interfere any moving parts. if i was you, i'd spend a little more time looking for it, just in case (murphy's law).

i understand your frustration, i've dropped my share of bolts, but calling the dealer useless will not help you find your bolt.

    btw, welcome to LXforums.

I checked the parts breakdown and there's nothing listed for the V8's but the V6's list a part number 6104142AA for the bolt. Don't know if it's the same though....

How are you going to get to the hardware store?

Did you try one of those long magnet "stick" pick up things down the plug hole first?

    Hope its not there!

You can drive there without that bolt, there's two bolts on each coil pack, but don't go cross country without it.

You’re absolutely right gn300, I assumed the bolt wasn’t dropped into the cylinder.

Only hemi-22s knows, to bad we never got an update.

no the coil was on but one screw came out of the coil pack, i think it fell on the bottom motor cover but when i dropped the cover it was no where to be found, definitely not in the motor

dealers usually no help for anything, i will try the hardware store to see what i can come up with, the hassle is worth the money i saved by not taking it to the dealer 70.00 for plugs, grease, and anti seize was worth this tiny headache
