Car Shut Off - Oil Light

Common problem?

I was sitting with the car in drive when the next thing you know the oil light comes on and the car shuts off. I was on level ground. Right before this happened it felt like a gust of wind hit the car and shook it (very typical here) but I looked up at the trees and it was not windy ... come to think of it, the car (5.7L) has been running a little rough at times lately. It is an '07 300C with 15,000 miles on it. The dealer cannot replicate the problem so they really do not care. Is there a TSB out for this or perhaps anyone with a similar problem?

I've heard of a few '07s at about 10k-15k miles stall a few times in that mileage range and then never have the problem again. Mine did it about 3 times in that range pulling up to red lights and then never did it again. I discussed it on another forum before I found my way over here, but I now have almost 30K and haven't had a problem since about 13K. Don't know what it is... Just know that it doesn't happen anymore and I didn't do anything to fix it.

the oil lightis only because the car shut off. When you quit cranking your car over the key goes right back to accesorie which is where you get all your warning indicators so when the car shut off the lights came on as they would any other time your key would have been put to accessory
