Ok...I am in the market for an aftermarket exhaust system.....I currently have a AEM CAI and Super Chips Tuning. I was thinking about either the Zoomers, the Borla, the Corsa or the JBA either one give more horse than the other?THANKS

I will say it till Im blue in my face....Go with spintech mufflers and remove the resonators....If you want to here mine let me know i'll post sound clips....You will not find any other muffler that sounds like this..trust me...
2006 MSRT-8 ...GONE....
Not saying that a catback will give much noticeable HP, but is the spintech for noise only or is there any performance gains??
There have been many independent tests done right here on these forums. Do a search like for instance "Zoomers" and you should find some test results... Zoomers on sale right now, click below for details...
ZOOMERS group buy:
Zoomers Group Buy...on all catbacks

am i the only one that thinks zoomers look ugly? no one compared different exhausts for Hp gains that i know of. zoomers still use the stock x-pipe and stock size tubing right?
Yes, yes and yes.. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
Ugle.....UGLE???. You guys really think this is ugle???. Bummer![]()

Another vote for Zoomers, which have a huge bunch of fans on this forum.
But exhausts are one of those topics where, if you ask "which is the best"? You will get a zillion different answers. Its like Ford vs. Chevy at a monster truck rally. People start drawing lines in the sand and picking up clubs and pitchforks and stuff.
The only thing you can absolutely count on is you are hearing opinions that are either biased or uninformed or both. That goes for all of us. Everybody loves to death their precious exhaust system and few will admit that they don't have a clue whether or not something else would be better on the dyno.
A manufacturer who has run side-by-side dynos would know better, but I haven't seen anyone publish an "us vs. them" comparison.
And as for sound? Don't even go there. Once again everyone has a different idea of what sounds bitchen. I think the Zoomers are the best, and most Zoomers customers will agree, but don't bother listening to 40 of us tell you how wonderful they are. Or for the umpteen others who say to you "My [insert brand here] are the best!" cuz its all 100% relative... plus throw in the wife factor.
Nobody here really has a clue as to which catback gives the best horsepower and torque gains (although GIFO2 did graph out two sets of Zoomers vs. stock and found some hot gains up the curve).
The complaints about stock tubing size have no basis with respect to knowing (versus just saying) that the stock size is a problem with this particular system (which is so free-flowing that you could see daylight out the other side if the pipes were straight... that is not something every system can say) and an x-pipe is an x-pipe. Zoomers don't need their own x-pipe because they use the stocker.

In another thread, CoolVanilla asked what we should do for MFO6. This strikes me as a PERFECT topic. Everybody asks the question. Nobody knows the answer. Its relatively easy to swap components and simple to dyno. And we can test sound clips, which will not be perfect but a sound clip db for all members would be a big benefit. All we'll need is a stock and possibly a modified LX car to test gains on both types of vehicles. Then we just need to collect some catbacks, and I bet thats not so tough.
I think w the Exhausts you can ask 10 people and get 10 answers...one persons drone is another persons musicThey all seem to add some performance over stock, I would listen to all the clips, or better yet hear them in person, and decide based on price/performance/looks/and sound which is right for you. :0

I'm about to install my DMH electric cutouts between my Borla 112 mufflers and resonators, effectively giving me the sound control to run the growl of the 125 system for driving around town, and still being able to silence them down to the non-drone, wife-certified 112 system.
Should have them in by the end of the week, sound clips to follow.

We installed the SLP Loudmouth II system on our MagRT. Love it. Don't give a rat's ass about performance since the car is plenty fast for us anyway ("real fast" comes from the Buell or the pumped-up Shelby Dodges in the garage running 24+ psi of boost). The Mag is a daily driver. We did it for one reason - sound. I love it, she loves it...but I won't tell you whether you will love it or not. Some like a crackle, some like a rumble, some like stock quiet. I hear now that the SLP gives about 14hp, but again - I could care less. I love the sound.
Best suggestion I can come up with? Listen to clips, find people who are near you willing to hammer their cars so you can hear it (if you're near Maryland, let me know!)...and just have fun with it.
