    All Hemis not created equal?

    I have some parts on order to dress up the engine bay. Today I get this email from the vendor;

    I have just been notified by the manufacturer that in Magnums produced prior to 2-16-05 the motor from the 300C was used. This does mean that the items they ship you will depend on what motor you have. Can you please tell me the production date of your car and if you have two ribs on your front shock towers or not? If you have two ribs on each shock tower it means that you have the 300C motor.
    What is the difference between the 300C 5.7 Hemi and Magnum 5.7 Hemi?

    Yeah... Right... Like the shock tower is related to the engine anyway!

    Thank You Fred I Was Thinking The Same Thing. Sounds Fishy To Me, Besides It Wouldn't Benefit Dcm To Have Two Different Engines, Not Very Cost Efficiant (not That Car Companies Are Noted For Budgeting Properly).

    The only two hemis are car and truck. The truck hemi is setup a little different to allow more power being used and more tow capacity, such as the motor and trans mounts etc.

    Yeah, wasn't the whole delay at the end of last year because DCX was using all of the engines to put into the C?

    Looked at the engine several times before and never noticed but I have a Chrysler emblem on my engine shield! Thought of dressing it up with some chrome on it and liked the flames for the ram head. When the engine light came on today I deceided to take a look under the hood and noticed that I didn't have a ram head on it! Going to check with the dealer this week since they are going to have my car on Thursday for the window and the radio.

    That's pretty wild - mine's the Ram head. 11/04 build date.

    The only real difference in between the motors in the cars and the trucks is the cams, and that makes NO difference as to dress up parts.
