    Aftermarket!

OK People, lets all start asking the Aftermarket people to get hot on the LX Hemi’s
K&N for a Air Filer for the LX Hemi’s.
Go to their web site and request info for it.
    www.knfilters.com

You’ll get a email back that goes like this..

“Thank you for your interest in K&N products. You have registered to receive notification about products for a 2005 CHRYSLER 300C 5.7L.”

Check Fram’s site to see if their new “Road Hog” has one for our
    LX Hemi’s!

Flowmaster… Yup, Write them.. The more people that express interest in the car
The fast the products will arrive.

I’m sure the SEMA SHOW in Vegas will have a few 300’s in attendance.

Good thinking. They'll get on product development if they know the interest is there.

Just a not on the DROP in K&N for the 5.7 Hemi Ram. Some people dynoed the DROP in and and showed zero gain, the others actually showed a loss of power on the Hemi. Unless you go through filters fast (like say you live in the deserts of Iraq) I think the stock filter is fine, and do a complete cold air intake if you want added power.

Maybe I've spent too much time with sports sedans, but I'm interested in handling, braking, and driving dynamics. American cars figured out how to go real fast about 35 years ago.

I want to see tire options, shocks & springs, sway bars, etc.

I agree. The HEMI should haul fine, but a sportier suspension (especially nicer rear springs for the Magnum), tires, wheels, etc. would be much better. I think this is the first time BlackMagnum and I have agreed on something! :P

I think these cars are so good, they bring very different people together in appreciation of them.

I am finding myself torn between this and an Evo for heaven's sake! Two completely different cars. When I saw the 300 at first I thought "my dad's car, hands down." I drove one and started making arrangements for a cool jade 300C.

First off, welcome to the forums.

I agree, when I first saw the cars, I thought "Boxy, old man's car...this is the LH replacement?". Now I have a much better appreciation for them, especially after HAVING seen them in person.

Funny you mention the Prius...my fiance is trying to talk me INTO getting that as opposed to the Magnum. Granted the Prius is a VERY nice car, especially for the money. I really like it alot.

For some time now, I have thought that the 300C is the next car to be like the '94 - '96 Impala SS. There are a huge number of modifications and a very active national club with local chapters. People have even developed such things as replacement plastic seat track spacers to deal with the miserable factory parts. I installed a MOVIT brake kit on my Impala using Porsche brakes - quite a sight (it required modifying and adapting the factory knuckles, so it was not a simple bolt-on). Someone even developed a complete kit to install a six speed manual transmission (the car never was made with a clutch pedal, so this required a new pedal assembly and so forth). I'll bet that someone makes such a kit for the 300C, unless DCX beats them to it with the SRT version of the car. There is at least one turbo kit, and many cars with superchargers. A wide variety of suspension parts are available.
