    5.7L Vital Signs

    Just checking with the rest and the tech guys:

    From my EVIC at IDLE:

    RPM: 600-630
    Engine Temp: 219 and falling (to 210 in about 1 min)
    Oil Press: 16 PSI

    All seem normal, but does OIL PSI drop this low?

    Also:

    Last Chime Req
    abs
    VMM 319

    Anybody know what the last 3 lines mean?

    The last chime was the abs check. VMM 319 is Vehicle Memory Module and the 319 is the version - this should ALWAYS appear (the version may change if the computer is reflashed).

    Oil PSI sis normally around 14~20 at idle, no worries there.

    yeah, the oil pressure is scary low...same on my dakota i had a couple years ago.
    silver steel metallic charger r/t...gone but not forgotten!

    Oil Pressure

    I was taught that 10 psi oil pressure for every 1,000 rpms. So if you charger is idling at 600rpms then 16psi is plenty enough. I believe 10psi of oil pressure in an engine would squirt across the room 10ft or more.

    Sound fine, I learnt with the 10psi per 1000rpm rule
    Dodge Magnum RT AWD MDH=Jan 19th 2005 7-8pm
    Tow package, Midnight Blue, Painted spoiler body colour, Auto headlights, HID lows, Fogs on with Hi beams, SC flash with custom tranny and 91 tune, RER MyGig installed, Tranzformer, Resonators deleted, Custom Stainless intake.

    160,000km driven very hard, repairs include replaced front brake rotors and pads $200, rear pads$, ebrake shoes, all 4 tie rod ends $50ea (only 1 was loose), front sway bar rubber bushings $25(first thing to check if front is clunky); 3m refinished headlights WOW $30, 4 sets of tires, 2 tranny filter and flushes,
