395H transmission upgrades on Magnum RT

I've got a Magnum RT built in 06/04 and I am trying to make some mods to it. I have the K&N CAI, Superchips Flashpaq, Eichback Sportline springs & Shocks, Eichback front and 22" Povatti rims with 265x45x22 tires and I am getting ready to install the full JBA exhaust system.

My thing is that I have one of the earlier transmissions that cannot be flashed (or so I have been told). The TCM is 395H, and apparently not even the dealers can flash this one (per Superchips Procust Support), so i cannot raise the shift points and switch to paddle hold.

I am quite frustrated with this, and I am trying to find an alternative. The first thing I am wondering is if the device that holds this TCM is some sort of a module that can be replaced. Does anyone know if this is the case (and pardon my ignorace in this)?

The second is to go with the B&G PCM and then get the GS Motorsports ESP Torque management Module to handle the transmission. Has anyone had any experience with this combination?

Thanks, any comments will be appreciated

you may find success with some of the "Stage 1" TCM's that some vendors are selling. They should be able to be flashed by superchips, along with possibly increasing your shift quality.

Not even the dealer can upgreade it?

Also, Is this some sort of module that can be replaced?

Would The B&G and GS Motorsports combination above work?

    lafrad;

Which items are you specifically speaking of?

    Thanks

There is no reason to use the GS after you have the BnG, it allows you the option of turning off ESP all the way.

And if you have the BnG disable MDS all the way, Dave will also completely shut off the torque management. That is tons of fun but it does have a impact on MPG.

    Good luck on the tranny.

Don't understand why you can't use the Flashpaq to raise your shift points and use paddle hold. I have an earlier Mag RT built 04/04 and SC got mine working just fine. In fact, my car was used by SC as a test vehicle to work out the tranny problems.

Did you talk to Ron at Superchips?

There are a few vendors that offer "Stage 1" Transmission computer upgrades. HHP and Heat are some that I know of, off hand.

I am able to use Superchips to bump the shift points (and do all other TCM stuff) on my Heat "Stage 1" TCM.

Not even the dealer can upgreade it? there is no file available to upgrade to.

Also, Is this some sort of module that can be replaced? it can always be replaced but i don't think it can be replaced with a different part number.

Would The B&G and GS Motorsports combination above work? no idea. you'll have to ask the mod squad.

If other people with early build dates can be flashed; I don't see why you can't. Do you have the only 396AH in existence?

I had the car at the dealer yesterday. They were happy to help me and tried to update the TCM, but the version I have installed is aparently the latest one for my transmission components and there was not file to update to. I also asked them about buying another TCM and they told me that it would not matter because it would still need to have the file version that matched my transmission and that would be the same one. So it looks like I am stuck.

Has anyone had any luck with B&G PCMs and GS MotorSports Torque managers? Where can I buy a PCM that doe snot cost me an arm and a leg? I am thinkin that those are the next thing to try for me. Unless, of course, if anyone has any other idea.

    Thanks
