    LX 300C vs Charger r/t

Well it finally happened me(300c) vs the car I wanted first (charger). I was on my way home when I seen this charger r/t cruising around 70 mph. I drop the hammer to catch up to him. We play around for a couple miles, then the road clears for at least a mile. He pulls next to me and then it was on. We take off almost exactly the same time. I pulled about a fender feeling good and then I look over. Here comes the charger he inches back up to even and then inches ahead about half a car. That is when we let off. We ran from 70 mph to 110 mph. His car looked stock, my car has cai and brylcreem. Oh, I am riding on 22" chrome rims and not to mention the 100lbs worth of marketing supplies I was transporting today. I spoke with the guy, we laughed about my 22's slowing me down. In order to have 22's and at least stock speed I need more power, maybe a flashpaq will help? I know we should not race on the hwy but it was clear from start to finish.

Is the height of the outside of the tire that much different than stock? I think you'll find that it takes x amount of HP to move 5k# x amount of speed. Changing the tire size will be like changing the gear ratio. I guess that you might be in a slightly different part of the power band with a different height at the same speed.... I'd rather be in a C than that Charger anyway. A little more classy.

The wheels shouldn't hurt much... him inching forward is about right. It's not just trying to move the extra weight forward (drop in the bucket), it's also that you're trying to get it to spin (bigger drop, smaller bucket). Your 22's are not only heavier, but the weight is located further away from the center of the wheel. It's a double-whammy. Hey, what can ya do, downgrade to 17" wheels??? :-)

If you went to 14", you could cruise around at 100+ mph. Also, imagine the burn outs you could do. Jeez....you'd have to get solid rubber tires! Seriously though, I don't know as the extra weight of the 22" wheel would make that much of a difference in the power dept.

Yea it was fun. I don't feel to bad since it was a car cousin being a charger, but I hate to lose. I need the best mod of all and trade for a srt8. Maybe one day. Until then I have to deal with what I got.

Dudes! I'm being flamed! The C has got to be a lot younger looking than the Park Ave I was driving and liking an awful lot. Plus, I added a grill to get rid of the fartish front end. I do have to admit though, that red Charger looks sharp FJP. What's the FYD stand for on the plate?

    LOL,
I was going with the 300C before I saw the Charger. My buddy has a black 300C all dressed out in chrome it's beautiful. FYD is short as in Mystified (HEMIFYD).
