Except on the Rush tunes.![]()
My mileage has been climbing the past month or two (I am gaining on 8000 miles now).
I have had it over 25 a few times when the traffic was light (which is rare in Northern New Jersey).
I've even seen it up to 27.x

26.5 FROM Albuquerque NM today cruise set at 70 a/c on with 1800 miles on Maggy. The worst I can do in town hammering at every start 16.5 so I am THRILLED!! 8)
Well, damn. 350 miles on my RT, one tank down, and i'm doing about 13mpg average, mostly city driving. About 14.5 right now with 16mpg averaged over a short highway trip. I stomp the gas occasionally, but generally don't think I'm pushing it down too often. I hope the mileage gets a little better. Filling that 19 gallon tank out here in No. CA at $2.50 a gallon is gonna be expensive.

Around town these cars don't do too well. Try resetting the avg mpg when you are cruising on the highway and see what you get. Mileage does seem to get better with more miles on the car.Originally Posted by n8thegr8
2.50 a gallon?? Yikes! And I hate paying 1.91 a gallon here in GA. Guess I will shut up and fill up with a smile now.

Freak, Yes please shut up, get a tanker, and send me about 100 gallons! Soon, I expect moonshiners, not in alcohol but in unleaded gas.Originally Posted by MagnumFreak

N8thegr8, I have a lead foot and do mix driving, and have never been able to get my RT to do as low MPG as you are quoting. The worst I've gotten so far is 16.9 mpg.
Same here no complants :D
This morning, I got about 21.6 MPG and that's with a fillup, reset, and going thru 6 stoplights over a 47 mile trip. I figure with a CAI and exhaust upgrade, I can bump that up to about 25-27. Now.......if i can only convince my wife this :-P
