How hard is it to replace the thermostat and where is it? I am not next to my car at the moment and wont be for about another month. Well anyways justy trying to get an idea of how hard or easy it is going to be to change it out. Thanks

Right here...Take the two 10mm off that is holding the holes on..It is pretty easy, just messing(probably because I never try to save the coolant)...LOL The same way you took the old thermostat out you put the new one in...BTW don't forget to Burp the motor when everything is sealed and done..

    Yes, it's pretty easy.

The only thing I'll add is to use a large zip lock bag to catch the coolant after loosening the bolts or not.

Well, the Mayans and other Soothsayers were right, the end has begun.

Common sense is so rare it should be considered a superpower

And I'd like to add the concept of using a name brand bag...not the cheap, prone to leak type

The 170 threw codes in early morning dur9ing the inter. The 180 doesn't, and I found little performance difference.

I gained >.5 mpg with the change

    not

you do not have to. The car will run cooler at higher speeds only.

Around town the fans will not work until the factory settings, so the change will be very small.

All you need is a Predator.

I would go with the Jet one. I have the autozone one, and it isn;t very accurate-opens at 176, so I get codes constantly. I am awaiting a Jet to replace so no codes. If it opens too soon, too often you get the codes. No biggie-I can clear with Superchips, but just makes the heart skip a beat when the engine light goes off just as you have merged into freeway traffic!
