WooHoo! Got a VIN & Discount for my future Heritage Edition!!!!

My salesman just called (no, I wasn't buggin' him!). Told me that today they got word that our Heritage Edition is in "D" and has a VIN. I don't know what it is, but he will bring the actual number to church on Sunday.

In other exciting news... we had made the order based on MSRP on Feb. 18. It didn't occur to me until earlier this week that my company (DuPont) has an "Affiliate Rewards" program with Daimler-Chrysler. I called to see if it was still "active" and it was. What's the deal? $1k BELOW actual dealer invoice!

Salesman told me Monday that he (as a salesman) didn't know if they were a participating dealer or not... at least for 300C. And the dealership owner was out of town for a couple of days (death in the family). Salesman told me today that the dealership, generally, has not been applying AR (or supplier discount, as he termed it) on 300C... BUT... since this was me and it would be their first (and maybe only) Heritage Edition - maybe even in all of WV - they were going to allow me the discount on this car.

Today is lookin' like a very red rosy day! Think I'm gonna take the afternoon off... futz around home, and then tonight we're going to go with another couple (in our Blue) to watch one of our local high school's play in the WV Girls State BBall semis.

Do you know of a way to check and see if a company is eligible for a certain discount? My company definitely should be, want to see how much.

    Congrats. Got an ETA yet?
Ask me about my Lemon Dodge Charger. Last time in the shop was approx 41 days and it is still not fixed!

As far as I know you would have to ask your company vs. DCX. It should be somewhere within corporate HR information. At least it is in our company. Plus I had filed away the information (and then forgot about it until the other day).

Awesome GT! I hope you have it when you come to town!

The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.

Sounds great GoofyTimL! I was able to use the supplier discount too, when I ordered my Magnum. It was 1% under dealer invoice. Worked out to almost $4K off sticker with the options.

Should work out about the same for me. Then we'll see whether they will trade decent for the Blue... or we will become a two-Hemi Stable!

Yeah... I've kind of all ready figured on that. Our agreement is if I don't like it 1) I can walk away and not buy the car - that's not likely to happen, 2) buy the car and keep the blue - looking more like the possibility, or 3) buy the car and sell the blue privately - already on the F/S forums here and on LXforums... and I may advertise locally... eventually. Afterall, their only incentive for trading (and having then to sell a used vehicle vs. a new one) is to keep me as a customer for the new one).

But if the payments work out vs. our budget, then we will probably keep both. That wouldn't be a bad deal either giving how good the blue has been since we bought it certified pre-owned from the same dealer.
