oh wow does that ever bring back memories. I haven't seen a '62 300 in many years. That was the first car my Dad bought to drive he and my mom from West Virginia out to California and it was the sole family car throughout my early childhood until, after he passed, my mom sold it in 1969 (for a black Dodge Lancer with red interior and pushbutton tranny).

Ours was white with blue interior. Same bigass engine that everyone but my daddy thought was too big.

Maybe its just me being nostalgic but that car looks like a work of art.

Wow I just checked out the '62 300H at musclecarclub.com and they only made 435 coupes (and 135 ragtops). Guess now I REALLY REALLY wish mom had kept the car.

The 62 300 H coupe is my favourite car from that era. I never had the opportunity to own one.

    They made a ton of 300's in 62,just not letter cars.The letter cars had the 413 motor with the Crossram 2x4 setup,the regular 300's(equivelent to today's 6cyl touring)had 383's with a single 4bbl.

    In my old neighborhood

there was a black 300H with beige interior.
Some old dude (who was probably younger than I am now) owned it and used to show up at the local diner and race with all of us kids.

Car was pretty quick for a lead sled.

Last year I sold my Dad's 57 Chrysler 300C. After storing it for 13 years after his passing. We were in the process of restoring it when he got sick. The car was a full off frame resto. It had the 392 Hemi dual 4 barrel motor, push button tranny. It was painted red & had a red & white tuck interior. It would have been really nice car but after 13 years I finally came to the realization that I would never have the time to finish it. I guess I wanted to hold on to that memory.
