    Top Speed

How fast have you been in your 300C? I have read things about limits in the computer for speed max limit.(92) my freind has a Magnum RT he claims has been to 140. I own a 99 Corvette that I know has been to 140.Once only!!!!. I was just trying to find out if there is really a speed limiter on my new 300C. If you pay for 160mph speedo you should be able to use it somewhat if you choose. (Speeding fines and loss of motor vehicle privilaces may apply)

There's a speed limiter, but I think it's well above 92 MPH. Not 100% sure, but 137 sticks in my brain... :?

128 due to H rated tires. Car still pulls hard even at that speed. Autostick mode speed limiter hit 4th gear!! I know it is capable of much more.

Yes, 128 is the LIMIT on both the Magnum RT and 300C... In Europe it may be different (as in higher).

That's odd... It's 128 MPH on all C's... Maybe your speedo is messed up?

I'm sure there is a plus/minus factor on the limiter.

what about loss of life of a tire that is only rated at 130 mph while going 160? how about lawsuits that would be brought by the family of someone who was going 160 and just flat couldn't handle it, so they sued chrysler for allowing him to drive that fast? think things through...trial lawyers are just licking their chops waiting for something to happen so they can try to get rich at the expense of a company.

i think changing your speed limiter should be the worst of your worries when it comes to the computer, first i would want to get rid of the crappy torque management (limiting) programming.

While it's true that you can literally sue anyone for anything, some lawsuits are still considered unwinnable. This is one of them.

Suing Chrysler (or a dealership) for selling someone a car capable of going 160mph (assuming the tires, and everything else, are rated for 160mph), that they then killed themselves with, is equivalent to trying to sue Remington (or a sporting goods store) for selling a gun to someone who acidently shot and killed themselves (assuming there weren't any defects in the operation of the gun).

Being a citizen of this country still requires that we take at least a little responsibility for our own actions (such as killing ourselves while traveling at more than twice the legal limit). If you are unhappy about this fact, just wait a few more years, I'm sure the government will get around to ridding you of your last legal requirements for personal responsibility... right before they vote for the bread & circus.

hit it on the hiway in my neighbourhood and climbed up to 210kmph 130mph. Had a tailwind but the limiter did not engage (feels like the car is stalling). Will try to duplicate with no wind and see how far it can push out to.
P.S. If anyone in law enforcement is reading this I'm lying
I like to pass that's why I love this car
