Thinking of trading my Mag in for a 300....

Hey, whats up dudes and dudettes? Lately i've been getting the itch for a 300 and i cant control it. Ive always liked the 300 a lil more than the Magnum, but i ended up buying the Magnum because i'm in college and thought the space would come in handy when traveling back and forth. But now im realizing that i dont even need the extra space.....Should i go for the 300, or stick with Maggie??? Oh and do you think Satin Jade is girly??? I think it would look sweet with the grille and rims......I need you guys, HEELLLP...lol

you just need to decide if the depreciation hit is worth getting the car you want. IMO 300's are a dime a dozen, and if you're modding, you'll be much more unique with the Magnum. Interior wise they're essentially the same car. Just more upscale doo dads on the 300.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

A college dude should be concerned about the money, so I'm with SXT (NOT the "dime a dozen" part though... GOSH!). If you've had the Mag for only a year or so, you're gonna lose significant value in the trade-in. I'd recommend stickin' with the Mag until after college... then with a good paying job, etc., you can go for the 300C SRT8! Until then, you can plan... and save!

Sorry didn't mean to offend. What I meant was that I see 10-20 300's for every Magnum I see on the road.

That said from all the Mag owners, I think if you want a 300 you should go for it. The Satin Jade is a beautiful color and not may around. The mods for the 300 are just as many as the magnum and the car has its own unique look to it. I like both cars and it was hard choosing between the two, but, my opinion is, go with the 300.

No offense taken... just didn't want to let slip the notion that 300s are "common" 'cause IMO they ain't no way!

I say stick with the magnum. I see like 12 300's a day driving to and from work....makes me feel a little "unique" that I have a mag.

Just my 2 cents worth, The Magnum is cooler but the 300C looks like a car that a sucessfull Banker would drive, in fact if you should have a fine cigar at hand and a pair of expensive Italian leather gloves. I find my Magnum is a " Babe Magnet" usually 75-85 year old ladies that is! LOL Welcome to the forum.

Thanx for everyones input. I know im going to lose money, but not that much considering ive only put 1,600 miles on Maggie so far. There is a dealership near me that has a brand new satin jade 300 for 21,600. Im not a speed demon, so i really dont need the touring or C....I'll keep yall updated on what i do, right now im just focusing on passing my finals..College Sucks...lol. once again thanx alot guys.

For that price that's got to be a base 300 with the really small engine(?). Wouldn't recommend that unless the look is all you're after. Whatcha got in the Mag? The 3.5L V6 for the Touring or Limited 300 is plenty of power, but remember this is a 3800-4200 Lb vehicle. You gotta have "some" muscle under the hood, and the 2.6L is gonna seem underpowered for as long as you own the car... unless that's what's in the Mag and you're used to it. Now the HEMI in the "C"s are Sweeeeeeeet!

Stay with the Maggie - unless you want to do mods . . .

Good suggestion....get the best of both worlds the front end look of the 300 you like and the room of a magnum. I would take the suggestions of the other'sin the forum....keep the car till you graduate from college and get a great job and sell the Magnum for that SRT8 300! You will take a huge hit on depreciation if your car is less than a year old!
