Actually, those "3" holes are just one...the other "2" on the side are reflections of the hole in the middle.

It helps to reflect the light out of the housing. Just FYI

I have a similar set on my 300. I can take a couple of shots later today so you can see what they look like on the car. I also added a set of HIDs to it. The only difference is that I have the dark model. I never had any issues with them at all.

r you sure they look like seperate holes in the last pic

and here is the answer from the seller:The holes are for the running lights and the turn signals if you would like

so that makes me beleive there is more than 1 hole

ya i always thought the extra 2 holes r for the running lights at the bottom of the stock head light (has 1 turn signal bulb and 2 running light bulbs on pre 07s)

are the projectors just as bright or brighter than stock ?

They were about the same. The difference was that the light from the projector was more centered than the originals. Once you add an hid kit to it not only is it brighter but because of the projector the beam the light reaches further away.
