    Is there a difference?

I got wheels off of somebody with an 06 Base Model 300 and put them on my 05 Base 300. But while checking them out in his car no vibrations or wheel shakes so seemed good. put them on my car and i get vibrations at like 35mph and up. And it will come and go but is deff. not good. So will hub rings help fix this or is there something different in the front end setup between the two years that would be causing my car to react so much differently to the wheels? Please somebody let me know if they have an idea. I am going crazy.

    Thanks

Don't have any ideas why the wheels don't ride smooth. The wheels are interchangeable between years. You might try having the wheels road forced balanced.

I'd guess the balance is off or the wheels you got are flat-spotted from sitting a while on the tread.

ya. i got them re-balanced and still got some shakes. my next thing is hub rings which go on Friday A.M. If that doesn't fix it then I am lost completly.

if you got a shaky steering wheel it can also be caused by a bad or off alignment...did you get an alignment when you got the wheels installed?

are they the same size and everything?

How can you fit hub rings on rims that are already hubcentric?

First off alignment does not fix vibration problems. First I would check to see if you pulled off the retainer clips that hold on the rotor. Next I would check the inner and outer tie rods for play. Then if none of that is the problem I would have the wheels and tires Road Force Balanced.

Here is a link to the Hunter website whre you can read about Road Force technology. At 402 we use the GSP9700 Road Force Balnce machine with Smart Weight Technology. We have very little problem with vibration.

ok guess i'm retarded. they aren't factory wheels. so not hubcentric. and I had the tires taken off the rims and then re installed and balanced from discount tire with the ride match option. if the hub rings don't fix the problem my only guess is that maybe something is wrong with my front end / no money to fix that. so sorry for the confusion if people thought these were factory wheels.

Are the tires directional? maybe the taller tire and rotor warpage? can you feel anything through the brake pedal?

yes they are directional and i had them re-mounted by D count tire. so i assume they are good. I haven't checked rotors and i don't feel anything through the brake pedal. Hub rings are going on in about five hours. So we will see if that fixes it. otherwise the rims are going for sale. so wish me luck.
