Sportline and some paint on my base 300

So I finally get my car in for installation of my Eibach Sportlines. Paid $300 out the door for the installation which also included alignment. I picked up the springs from Ebay for $210.

When I went to order the springs I spoke with Able from Eibach USA regarding my car and found out that for the v6 300's, the Sportline is actually a 1.8" drop. The v6 300 sits .02 higher than the 300c.

Btw, these are also the exact same springs for the 300c Hemi, part# 4.7328. This kit also minimized the raked look that the Eibach Pro-kit's were notorious for. Big plus for me.

First impression...

It wasn't as earth grinding slammed as I was imagining, or was being hyped up to beleive. It actually puts the car back to my stock height when I have my 17" stocks on. And is still easy to get in and out of my car (big guy).
But the springs are still settling.

This vehicle continues to amaze me, out of all the cars I've own, 95% of them with altered/moded suspension this car by far takes the springs VERY well. And the anxiety is over, no rubbing going over speed bumps, accellerated turns or in and out of my driveway. Did a mild turning test at an abandoned parking lot and it doesn't rub anywhere. Even with 2 people in the back and my heavy speaker box with my 15" sub, over speed bumps. And alot smoother than any vehicle I've had lowered. It's not stock, but not very far from it. Handles VERY VERY well. The thing truley feels like it's on rails now on turns. No more body roll.

On the drive to work today, out of no where, my wife compliments the cars ride " wow, almost forgot you got it lowered..." She's been through alot of my cars being lowered. BTW, her car is the Lincoln Navigator in the background.

But in the looks department, it all but awakened this gorgeous creature. Made all the difference in the world. And the best mod so far. Car with the wheels finally looks "rite" and not like some lowered SUV with a chop top that it was. When I first got just my wheels I was somewhat disappointed because of how high it put it and the HUGE gap it had ( I was able to stick my entire fist in the wheel well) made it look like a 4x4. Now it's sitting just rite and compliment the wheels.

Along with the springs I also had it tinted 30% and had my pillars, fog light grill covers, side mirrors and hood squirters color matched. And had the silencer removed.

Car goes in next week for exhaust work and I'm still waiting on my rear lip spoiler. Still undecided on the tinted tails. And I get to order my grill in a few weeks when I get back from Hawaii next week.

Slowly coming together...

No exaggerated "raked" look.

These wheel wells beg to be stuffed with 22's. Almost looks stock.

Have to say, for a near stock exterior 2.6L Base, that's one fine looking ride! Only think I'm a little uncertain about is all the solid metal on the wheels... I'm more for the "airy" look of more spokes... but it's a nice "reflection" on you I'm sure!

Looking good aristotle. I really like the 300 with the side moulding removed. Now you just need foglights.

I like the nearly solid wheels on this car, very classy, there is a hint of full moons as used on luxury cars of the 50's. The grille will really make it!

I also really liked the spoked look. I had a nice set of 18" 3 piece BBS wheels with the spokes and another thing I remember was how much my back hurt from sitting there so long cleaning them. ;-0

Plus they were always dirty from all the brake dust.

I'm lazy now, now it's just a few big swipes and I'm done!

Besides, I don't have alot to show off in the "brake package" if you know what I mean.

yeah, that was the coolest free mod, removing the moldings. Nice and easy removal and makes a huge difference. Although now I'm paranoid of tight parking lot spaces.

I've got a few immediate projects I'm working on but I'm looking forward to putting some fog lights up hopefully before summer.
