    New tire question

Im looking to get new tires and about to make a decision on the brand but not sure if 275/40/20 will fit on the car without any rubbing issues. I have an 06CSRT8, is there anyone running this size?

275/40/20 will fit with no issues. It adds almost an inch in the tire width over the 245's.

No rubbing at all - just did it myself. Not happy with the road noise from these Toyos though...

Literally, just put 275/40/20's on my MSRT8 today. Vredsteins. Fit perfectly, no rubbing or contact. I got 4 of the Vredsteins for $659 on eBay from an excellent seller. These tires are very well rated for our cars by people who drive the sh*t out of their cars.

    shop

you may wish to consider the fact that a unidirectional tire may be a better choice.

Shop around a bit, tires are like ice cream. Many flavors.

Why Unidirectionals are better choices? By the way, what may happen if tires are incorrectly installed with the inwards side outwards?

Glad to hear you guys aren't having any problems at that size. I'm about to put 275/45/20's on my 300C, and I believe that I have a little more clearance than you SRT8 guys, so I should be just fine I'm assuming.

they would squeel like a biotch and push on turns. the ouside shoulder of the tire has more solid tread blocks for better cornering grip.
