Need a new Passenger side door. How much will this cost?

Big dent in the side of my car, I am so pissed I cant even explain. Its is about a foot in diameter and is about 2 inch indent.

So I need a new door...

or can it be pushed out?

With luck it can be popped. Otherwise, MSRP is around $650 unpainted, can get for around $500.

    Sup Guys,

Just went outside and took some pictures. I got some of it outside, and in the garage.

The cheapest I found at Pick-a-Part is 500, and its already yellow, but I dont know if it will fit correctly.

    OMG I am so upset...

It will cost you about $300 because your not going to replace the whole door. All your going to do is call dodge(or a good bodyshop) and tell them to ordor you a door skin AKA just the outside door panel not all the insides. I had both of my pass. sides replaced for $900(parts/labor). Dont sweat it its not that bad it dosent look like you bent the door so your good.

^^ installing a skin takes a lot more labor than just bolting on a new door, ask your body shop guy which he thinks would be cheaper.

    Jweezy,

unless your insurance deductible is outrageous then put in a claim and pay the deductible and get it done right....

and if you are carrying insurance with more than a $500 Deductible ($250 is better) go check yourself and fix that...

in most cases you are not going to find repairs to your car under $1000 so why would you have that as a deductible?

this issue is case and point, so you saved what? $250 a year, maybe $400 on insurance going with a higher deductible, now you have an out of pocket close to that...

you have a good paying Gov't job, learn to manage your $$ a little better, it will pay off BIG in the long run.....

My dad's 5 rules, all of which have served me well:

    1. don't ever pay rent that cost more than you make in one paycheck

    2. don't ever buy a car that cost more than you make in a year (6 months is better)

    3. don't ever buy a house that cost more than you make in 5 years...

    4. don't skimp on insurance for house/fire/theft/car/natural disaster, cause it will hurt you in the long run...

    5. if you can afford it, anytime you make a major purchase on credit (excluding housing), deposit the same amount in a high yield account earning more in interest than you are paying on the credit, if the earned interest falls below what you are paying on the credit, cash in the account and pay off the credit..

if you can't afford to do that, perhaps you don't need to make that large purchase..

yeah #5 was very workable in the 60s, 70s, and 80s... today not so much..

but that's why we have so many foreclosures and bankruptcies and bad credit card debt.

everyone spends and spends and spends without considering what the end result of using all that credit will be..

i'm guilty of it too, to a degree...

    sorry for the hijack Jweezy
