    my new grill

here is a picture of my new grill I made for my 300c. I modified a factory grill into a dished grill and then installed some perforated black mesh along with a srt8 nameplate to finish it off. Sorry about the crappy pics. It was raining once I installed it, but just wanted a quick pic on the car.

Sorry pic does not seem to show up

Looks good... I was thinking about doing the same thing for a different look from all the normal grilles u see around... Where did u get the mesh from?

I purchased it off of ebay. It cost 60 dollars once you included shipping.

And is it flimsy or weak? I was worried about the mesh being flimsy cause it has no support bars behind it...

It is pretty stiff, its alumium sheet metal with 1/4" holes cut into it.

That is pretty good. My friend has fitted ABS Chrome Mesh Bentley Grille for his car. He procured it from ProStreetLighting.

Looks very nice, exponentially better than the shiny flush mounted mesh grills seen way too much on 300s here in Socal, but I guess that's done to balance the big shiny 22s and bigger, to say nothing of the chrome door handles, window and gas filler trim.

    But that's just my opinion.

Yeah I am not a big chrome fan either, my car is all blacked out except for the stock polished wheels.

I think that it being recessed, and not flush mounted as the shiny ones mentioned in my previous post helps with the look, a shadow around the grill, and not Bentley mimicry better suits our cars.
