My First Track Experience. WOW, what a rush, and I got a Question

Well let me say that for my first track expereince, it was great.
I went up to Englishtown NJ Raceway on Sat March 4th where they had Street Wars (Imports vs Domestic).
I went with BrilliantBlackSRT8 and his friend who had a very nice modded 05 Mustang. (very quick BTW)
Since it was my first race, I didnt know what catagory to go into so I was placed into Street Stock.
Anyway, My first race was against a Mitsubishi Lancer I think with a female driver.
Im like awww s***, im gonna get my a** handed to me.
We take off and she beats me on the line, but then the Hemi kicked in and I just took off.
My time was 14.3 and hers was 16 something.
After that I jumped into the Street Tuned and this time I was up against a Honda Hatchback I think.
I took off again and blew this Honda away.
He had to of missed a gear or something. My time was 14.6 and I was very pissed because I was hoping for high 13's.
I have my slip papers at my house and I will scan them and post them later tonight.
Now I cant wait for the meet in May.
There was a Dodge Daytona in the Go Mango color that did a 14.1, .2 better than me.
There was also a Dodge Magnum that had Nos because he sprayed it from the front of his hood.
I dont remember his time but it was quick.
All I have on my car is a jet chip, CAI and exhaust, what else would I need to get into the mid to lower 13's?

My question is, why is it that only one side of my exhaust (JBA Exhaust) you can see the smoke come out, but the other side I cant see it, but I feel the air coming out?
    Any reason why?
Im a practical joker, so dont take anything seriously. GOT IT. GOOD.

To get your 300C into the 13's you have to get a good launch and get your 60' times down. Some LT headers won't hurt either! To get a good hook up off the line you need some good tires like KDW2's. Do a good burnout before you stage and launch it at around 1200 RPM and don't let the tires spin by not getting on the throttle until you are rolling a bit. Its a fine line to get a good launch on these cars but the first 60 feet is everything. Have fun and good luck!
