My C is almost done

well its been over 4 months since my car first went into the shop. it is almost done. WOOO HOOO. the car had to be completely repainted. i had the side moldings removed. had my tommy z deep dish grille installed, new fog lamp bulbs. rebadging the front fenders with the HEMI emblems from a charger. i will have my LED tails installed and had my engine cover color matched to the car. the car is almost done being wet sanded and will be buffed and put back together this weekend. here are a few pics before she is whole again. i will post more once the car is completely done.

thats going to be sexy!! Since the door handles are off, have you thought about having them shaved?

Sweet. Are the Hemi letters on the engine cover mirrors?

they are polished stainless. they do have the apperance of mirrors though. as far as the door handles i am having the chrome ones put back on. i cant afford to have them shaved off.

Why has it been in the shop 4 months? Wrecked?

it had extensive hurricane damage. i went with a friend who owns the body shop so he does most of his work on the weekend. he also had a problem getting the paint right from his paint supplier. 4 diffrent times he went to the supplier and one of the tints was bad so the 4 batches of paint had clumps in it. first time he painted the whole car and then had to resand the whole thing. he finally had to go with a diffrent paint brand. even know it has been so long i know for a fact that my paint job will be a one of a kind. he takes a lot of pride in his work. it looks amazing up close.
