Last time: AWD or RWD

I live in Montreal and trying to decide if I should go for a 300C RWD or AWD. Montreal is well know for their winters and I wanted to get some feedback from owners driving this winter. Are you ok with RWD in winter or do you wish you had opted for the AWD? Your thoughts please!

Even though there are folks that will say that they have had no problem with their RWD LX in the winter . . . I say go for the AWD. It is amazing how well all the systems work together, especially in an AWD. Give it some gas and go. But that's just me. My LX is my daily driver and I feel that I "should" get it.

AWD is great. This morning I was able to drive out of my driveway, after 6 inches of snow, and just drove to work as usual. For snow, I love it.

While it's true that the RWD's have very respectable performance in the snow, IMO go with the AWD if you need to rely on your LX in the snow.

I'm debating between a 300C AWD or RWD or the Charger Daytona. Decisions, decisions...I know that even with a kick ass set of winter tires, I will probably still have traction problems. But that banana yellow charger at the dealership where my buddy works has caught my eye...

I debated back and forth on the AWD Vs. RWD. In the end, I decided that for what the car is it had to be RWD. Maybe I'm just a bit old fashioned but this is, after all, a muscle car. We got 6+ inches of snow here yesterday and I had no issues with the RWD during my commute home. Now, some of the other idiots on the road are another story. Like my dad always told me..... "You drive with regards to the conditions."

I live in a snowbelt in BC and I have NOT regreted getting the AWD Magnum. It is just that extra comfort in the winter if you have to travel out of town! I have heard issues from some forum members with RWD in the snow it can be a bugger to get started from a complete stop especially with ESP on.

I am sure the RWD has good winter manners but the AWD is amasing in the get up and go dept ( it still weighs 2 tons so be careful braking and cornering). Also the wet weather traction is to be considered, esp when you floor it from a stop in rain.

That depends on what you like better in style and what you are going to be using it for. I got the Magnum as I need more room to carry our kids and there toys and a stroller for my son, the extra room in the Magnum is great!

not to mention the fact that the magnum is cheaper. I'm thinking of going for the magnum and using the money I save not buying the 300C to get the navi. I'll see. My fiancee likes the 300C but her dad thinks I (we) should buy the magnum for the practicality. Besides, I finds it looks cooler. Thanks for your input guys. I think I'll go for the magnum, if... the price is right!
