The message I read (and posted about in the sticky threads up top) says $1000 to current "Chrysler group" owners. MB is not in the Chrysler group!
Have you confirmed being able to get the rebate with anyone yet?
*edit - I see that that is FROM the Chrysler website and says "current DiamlerChrysler owners" so I'm guessing you're good to go!
M-B is not a Chrysler Group? NO KIDDING? No one else knew that! Boy! you are on the ball!
Thanks for bursting my bubble - you owe me $1000! :D
I am quite sure there is plenty of fine print, but I am basing it off what the add says:
"Returning Daimler-Chrysler owners"
My Mercedes is a Daimler-Chrysler product. Using that ad, which I have printed out - if I don't qualify I will walk!
If Chrysler wants some (more) credibility in the LX cars HAVING owners of Mercedes and BMW buy the 300 and Magnum is better advertising & consumer product confidence over any Chrysler & Dodge ad campaign especially one with Monkeys. He-He!

Just not in the mood for a smart ass today, but I'm letting this one go.
Amen. And speaking of credibility, if there are significant delays in the Magnum, I'll likely walk too.

Rebates already?
Even if it is for current DC owners, it is not a good sign.

I thought that at first, but the more I think about it, I think it's a great idea. The more 300's people see on the road, the more they'll get recognition. Who better to market their product than current, happy DCX owners (they wouldn't come back if they weren't happy!)?Originally Posted by KingWinky

But the point is Chrysler shouldn't have to provide rebates to put butts in the seats. :?Originally Posted by dodgeatheart
I'm getting the sinking feeling that Chrysler isn't taking the car as seriously as they should be, and there have been a few things latley that point that out to me;
1. No official introduction at the New York auto show.
2. The extraordinary time it took to get the product to market, and the delays.
3. Invisible local advertising.
It is a real shame too. This car deserves better, especially since it will make or break Chrysler over the next few years.

I've seen nothing via local advertising, but I'm thinking after the April 22 Premere night, when they can offically sell the cars, I will finally start seeing them on the TV and newpaper.

Maybe they want all of the Intrepid/Concorde buyers given an incentive to move to the new big car as opposed to a different brand.![]()

Concerning lack of Advertising - I also believe it will start after the "official" kickoff on April 22. However, there was no lack of advertising on last nights 2 hour "The Apprentice". Chrysler was a major sponsor and of course they gave the winner, Bill, a new Crossfire Cabrio.
They also gave away a car to the public in a sweepstakes - I was entered but no word yet.
Maybe the rebate is based on some lack of 'real' orders placed at dealers that have actually ordered a car with deposit. But that is just speculation.

I checked on this with Chrysler Incentives division (800-227-0757 X3) and they said it was not available for current Mercedes owners. I also own a Mercedes and would have enjoyed the extra 1K in cash!Originally Posted by E55 KEV
Chrysler is using some dumb logic on defining a Daimler-Chrysler product and excluding MBZ. I may not be able to get a rebate direct FROM Chrysler but my deal will include it one way or another! Even If I have to steal an old Chrysler POS and tow it in. J/K!Originally Posted by elrod
I guess D-C is opening themselves up for some negative letters, emails and calls and perhaps some litigation. I will complain.
