    How to Spot an SRT8

I was bored today so I thought I would try and make a guide to show the differences between the base and the SRT8. I only went with VISUAL differences rather then all the options that are inside.

    1 Wheels
    2 Badging on fender
3 fog lights have different trim surrounding and slightly different position (I always check this first)
4 headlights have a molded part right below them
5 Vents under grill at bottom of bumper
    6 sunroof
    7 Sensor behind review mirror
    8 headlight washers

1 Antenna on roof at back
    2 taillights have different pattern
    3 rear badging
4 back up sensors in bumper
    5 dual exhaust
    6 wing/lip on trunk

And you can get Sirius on all models of 300, I believe. Also, the sunroof is optional on SRT8, as well.

    Thanks, Hazman

As far as I can think of the visual differences between the C and the SRT8 are the badging, trunk lip and wheels.

I keep forgetting that mine is technically a touring or something cause I have the fog lights and the 3.5..... Maybe I should re-name "this how to tell the difference between a C and a nonC....." Would have to make new photos though :(

    no chrome strip under headlights
Newer SRTs have the extra row of vents below the grille

I think they started halfway through the 06 run, or something like that.

I think it was actually the '05 run. There are some '05 300 SRTs.
(Waiting patiently for the 2011/12 300C SRT 8)

there were about 200 SRT-8's for private individuals initially in 2005. Some additional DCX cars have now made their way into private hands though too.

I think what cpl is referring to is the front fascia. In '05, and midway through the '06 year the front fascia only had the three narrow lower holes in the center.

Mid year '06, DCX took what had been a 2-piece front fascia, and made it a one-piece and added three additional vent holes above the three that had already existed.

From mid-year '06 through the present, the front fascia has looked the same.

A couple other things that help to identify a SRT8 from a C:
The mirrors, bumper accents and door handles are body colored on the SRT8 vs chrome on the C.
The ride height is slightly lower (but enough to be visible from a distance).
Exhaust tips are larger and have a sharp edge, rather than the rolled edge on the C.
