How can you tell if car has stock tune or not?

Hey I'm looking for a used SRT-8. How can I tell if the car is a stock tune or has been flashed, or might have some type of tuning module somewhere? Im not too famillir with thee cars yet.

If you buy the car privately, ask if the owner has a Predator. You'll want to buy that too. If it's from a dealer, chances are that they reflashed the PCM/ECU back to stock. In which case, you want to purchase a Predator to do your own tuning.

Another way is to have someone you know that has a predator in the stock configuration try and install a tune; if it will take it - it's stock.

If someone has used their Predator to tune an LX then the CLID has been set for that Predator for that specific LX. The friend would have to restore the base tune to their car to reset the CLID before doing anything on a new vehicle. Knowing what I know now about the possibility of PCM/ECU corruption, if I were that friend, I wouldn't do it.
