has anyone found a true fit after market rim?

i have a 05 300 base witch has the 17 inch bolt ons, i asked a tire store about new ones and was told that the only way to put on rims was to modifiy the 300 voiding the warrenty.

i would like to get rims for this but only if they are a perfect match, also i am in the detroit area if anyone else has found one in the area or a national chain.

What does a "true fit aftermarket rim" have to do with it. Even if true fit why would you expect the Chrysler dealer to warranty your aftermarket rims? You can't buy a TV FROM Best Buy and expect Circuit City to fix it for free.

Does this tire store sell rims? Sounds like they talk people FROM buying FROM them. Of course you void your wheel warranty if you buy aftermarket rims. You buy rims becaue you want them and not for any loss or gain of warranty. For aftermarket rims start with:

You may want to look at these wheels. They are made for the Magnum and 300's, correct bolt pattern, offset, and are extremely strong. The manufacturer also warranties them for the 3yr/36000 mile period of your vehicle angainst defects. You can view the 4 styles in this thread.

He may have heard the story going around how aftermarket larger rims could void the warranty on your bake and suspension components due to the added stress of the extra weight of the larger rims.

Make sure you keep your stock rims for dealer visits!

That should not be a problem with the wheels we are offering, they are suppose to weigh in less than the factory rims / tires. The sets we have due in tomorrow will be weighed against the factory ones we take off. I will post the results afterwards.

As long as you stay the exact same size diameter 25 inches you wont void your warrenty. You can go 18 inches but dont go over 25 total inches total with tire aka low profile tires. I know where to get rims also let me know what u need spiners reg. chrome

i was told that modifying the bolt pattern of the 300 was the only way to get rims on it...that rims were not yet made for the 2005 300c that i would have to use rims made for the 2004 300m and that i would have to change my bolt pattern to fit the 300m pattern rims. i was told this at discount tire co. which is the tires.com link store site

this i was told would void the warrenty of the car the 7 yr 70,000 mile chrysler warrenty , i understand chrysler would not warrenty the aftermarket parts.

so when i say true fit in was refering to rims that fit the stock bolt pattern of the 300c.

I think the wheels I got are pretty close to a "true" fit. The ASA AR1 is also an 18" Rim. I even transferred the stock tires, as the optimum size recommended by Tirerack was what we have P22560R18 (I think that's the size). The weight is about the same, slightly lighter (based on arm balance, picking both up that is). Offset is pretty close if not the same as well. It's the first wheel listed at Tirerack for a 2005 300C.

The overall diameter on the 300C's 225/60/18 tire is 28.6". Using a 25" tire would cause a lot of problems. Won't be buying or getting tire advise FROM you!? :D

You can't change or modify the bolt pattern on a car itself! The bolt pattern comes FROM the brake hubs. The bolt pattern is 5x115 and many people are using 5x114.3 which would require using variable seat lugs. There is no way you can use a wheel FROM a 2004 300M - it is Front Wheel Drive and the offset is high, et40. The offset on the 300C is low - et24. The higher the offset the further the wheel goes in. Also the hub size is different and the brake hubs on a 300M are smaller than on a 300C.

You can't void the warranty on the entire car for adding wheels. Only parts directly associated with the rims can be voided if need repair. How can your wheels stop a warranty REPAIR on your A/C or your Stereo or your seat, or your muffler, or cause an engine oil leak, etc, etc.

As far as "true fit" meaning a wheel with 5x115 bolt pattern. Discount Tire, ( www.tires.com ) only list one wheel. A few months ago they list a couple dozen rims with 5x114.3 and stopped to list this one 5x115:
