    Farewell, Autobahndestroyer.. :(

    Hi guys!

it's hard, but after four years, it's time to say goodbye to my beloved 300c AWD autobahndestroyer..

we had a great time together.. well, except when visiting the local DMV it was uber cool to drive this eyecandy on swiss roads.. in the parking lot, the car got more attention than the "everyday" ferrari parked next to me.. people were asking all kinds of silly questions about the car or the rims.. people waving at you from the sidewalk when you drive.. and other 300c drivers waving when you pass them.. and also the online community was absolutely awesome, I have never seen that before with other brands! thanks again to all the people here!
I will miss my 300c and all those things!

so... today I ordered my new "camouflage autobahndestroyer 2009".. a mercedes CLS.
it's not the actual car in the photo below.. mine will be delivered next week when tinted windows and the rims are done.. its the first time I bought a merc, a black car, and with a DIESEL engine!! I hope I will not get disappointed..

I hope I dont get banned for my "sell" decision ;-) I will still check the forums from time to time, to see what happens in the LX world..

    cheers!!

PS: I still have the 22 inch rims for the 300c AWD. if someone in the euro zone wants to buy my rims, I will make you a great offer that you cant reject! send me a PM!

now please post your condolence letters below
I'm sorry but the 300c is gone..

It is a shame ! I really like the Magnum Body with the 300C front, it should have been sold here as well.

    Good luck with the MB

Make sure you post videos you make from that nifty camera of yours.

    Always enjoyed reading your posts.

Stay safe and enjoy the new car!

yes, going into camouflage mode, not sticking out anymore. and this time I promised not to do any tuning anymore.

standard 10 spike rims from the factory as shown below (not so bad actually..), and black tinted windows.. nothing else :-)

and the air suspension will help me enter my driveway without scratching the ground

and I also dont have to be as careful when driving, as with the 22 inches..

..for the memories: video1 and video2 (opposite direction where you see the "pot hole")

    cheers

    ok, the 300c is gone..

picked up the CLS today, and love the CLS so far!

the airmatic suspension is great! the car slowly goes down when you park it. speed limiter is also a nice thing when driving in the city.
when you close the car with the remote, you can also close the windows! I really missed that one.. even my 15 years old audi had that feature!

flexi-cam also installed! see testdrive here.. (best viewed with VLC player)

    cheers!

vogue platinum 22", but the vendor in the UK does not exist anymore. the rim was intended for RWD offset, they had to modify them to fit on the AWD.. one hell of a story..

    btw the merc has RWD
