    Cold vent air

When I start the air and select vent, it comes out cold which is odd since I thought vent pulled outside air in. Its cold enough to leave condensation on my front window. I dont have the AC on, so why is it cold?

Free air conditioning is what I always figured.

It may be they pulled an AC/ventilation system off the parts shelf from Mercedes Benz, since Daimler owned them when these parts were all spec'd out. My C280 does exactly the same thing. No idea if the two are related behind the dashboard.

Do you have climate control or the manual system?

Make sure the dials are not set to auto if you have the climate control. If in auto mode the air will turn on and off as necessary.

I believe most of the cars these days run the A/C anytime the air is directed to the vents. Its to help keep the windows from fogging. I make a point of turning the vents to the floor rather then the window if I dont want it blowing toward me
