300C projector headlights in a Touring?

Am I correct in assuming that putting 300C projector (halogen) headlights in my 300 Touring is a simple plug-in-play? I've looked at photos and it appears that the differences between the two type lights are internal (lens type) and the mounting points and outside dimensions are the same.

you will notice that they are differnt by looking at the bottom of the light assembly that on a touring it is a flat bottom and on a "C" it dips down on the outside lite but if you put a "C" front fasia on your touring and the "C" headlites all will work fine
,,, demoulded...say no to chrome , jina's upholstery console cover,, hid drivin lites,,

wish list -- more upholstery work.,,, rims, exhaust.. air brushing.

Actually, after doing some research, it's easy to see that the lenses on the regular and projector headlights are the same size. The only difference is the rounded lower edge on the low beam corner of the projector lights. The 300C bumper follows this rounded edge then kicks up to hide the portion of the lens under the high beam reflector.

If you put 300C headlights in a V6 model there will be a gap between the headlight and the bumper at that rounded lower corner because the V6 bumper follows the contour of the regular headlight lens which does not have that rounded corner on the low beam side. So the issue then becomes, how funky would that gap look?

well besides the gap with a square corner and a rounded corner ,,,the "C" projector you have pictured is a HID(high intensity discharge) projector assembly which would require a h.i.d. conversion kit that can be purchased from vendors here.. as the bulbs from halogen into hid projectors wont mount (i dont think)but i maybe wrong.
i still say if you change the front fasia from a "C" onto the touring it would probably look better
just my 02 cents worth though

No, it isn't. A projector type light can come as either HID or halogen and for 2007 models (at least according to my 2007 owner's manual), the halogen projectors were standard on the 300C, and the HID projectors were an option. The 300Cs with halogen projectors use a 9006XS (straight base) bulb for the low beam.

The photo above is of an aftermarket halogen projector headlamp for a 2007 300C.

Umm...this would be different. I wonder what it would look like myself.

If you need any bulbs or a different HID kit for this let me know.

You cannot put the rounded C/SRT shaped headlight into a base flat-bottom fascia. Square peg, round hole. I don't believe it would be a gap, I believe the C headlight "bubble" would actually stick down lower than the opening in the fascia.

If it did fit, you could do either housing, the halogen projector or the HID projector. I made factory HID headlights work in my car, but the connectors to just plug them into the car's harness have become unavailable since them :-(
