    300 SRT or 300C SRT?

So which one is it? Is the official name the 300 SRT or the 300C SRT? Even Chrysler's own website lists it differently on different pages. I've always thought of it as "300" was the model name and then you add something for the trim level such as Limited, Touring, C or SRT just like the Magnum or Charger with SE, SXT, RT or SRT. It would seem redundant to call it the Magnum RT SRT right?

    fender check

mine has 300C badges on the side.

    Guess that makes it a 300C SRT8!

There are known variations in the badging on the SRT's. I'm sure one of the 300's will chime in

Well if the 'C' designates it as having a HEMI then its definitly a 300C SRT8. Personally I call them 300 srt8

My '06 came with 300c badges on the sides. Some SRT's from that year had HemiC badges on the side.

I think Chrysler dropped the ball with the "letter". They should have never used "M" on the last gen 300's.

The letters were originally for the true performance versions ending with the 300 L.

The '05 SRT should have been the 300M.

The damage has been done though, the marketing guys killed the "letter car".

Even weirder... every 300 in Europe is branded with the C, regardless of engine size. The 2.7s are called C as well...

That would be an easy way to identify it if there were never a Crossfire. But now since Chrysler only has 1 model as a SRT that would be pretty simple.
