    2005 300 Touring or Base????

I am a bit confused as I thought I had bought a used base model 2005 chrylser 300 but now I think I could have been mistaken. My car has the 3.5liter engine with the touring rims, but it has cloth interior. Every article I read says that the Base come with the 2.7liter and the Touring comes with the 3.5Liter. The base comes with Cloth and the Touring comes with Leather. I aslo put my VIN in on this site http://www-5.dodge.com/webselfservic...2Findex_en.jsp and it says my car is a touring.

So did they make 2005 Chrylser 300 Touring with cloth interior???

    Thanks,

    Brandon

If you have a 3.5L engine, you definitely have a Touring (or Limited). I believe you can still get the cloth interior on the Touring, but not the Limited. If the car was a fleet sale car (prior company car or rental car), then the options available are different than they are to the general public/retail sales.

The base 300s in Canada also had the 3.5L. No 2.7L allowed for 300s North of the border.

Thanks for the help, it seems that I do have the base model because I live in Canada. My VIN still indicates it is a Touring though, I guess because it has the 3.5Liter.

3.5 litre of course, i think the 2.7 isnt enough for the heavy car, the 3.5 has decent power which satisfies most drivers

    Hi Jinichiro

its all in the Rims! I had the same issue and was told the rims say it all... mine is a 2006 300 Limited RWD, but it comes up as a touring sedan with the VIN.... weird!
I also have leather heated power seats and Sunroof, etc.
