    07 SRT-8 Jeep Remote Start on a 300?

Anyone tried to make the remote start off of a 07 SRT-8 Grand Cherokee work on the LX's? That would be an awesome mod if its possible!

What makes that particular remote start nicer than the one meant for the 300?

If I remember correctly, the Jeep remote start button is somehow incorporated into the original OEM key fob (the one with the actual metal key). The MOPAR remote start that goes on the 300 requires an additional key fob. There may be more functions and features that are different, but that was the biggest one I noticed.

Hmmmm.... can the jeep key be programmed to the 300/magnum/charger's SKREEM module?

yes, if it is the key with the same functions, lock, unlock, and trunk... if it has the additional features (liftgate, rear window unlock) then no it can't...

some jeeps have a 5 button remote, others have a 3 button remote like ours (not including the panic)....

This is the biggest difference, I wouldn't like to lug around a remote hooked to another remote.....it'd be cool if the Jeep keys could be programmed to the LX's.....

So by that logic a 2-button remote like the magnum's is different from the 3? That doesn't make sense.

no the magnums is the same just minus the truck switch, but the 5 button is different..

I bought 3 keys on ebay, for $95 I was able to cut all three and program them myself to my 300... 2 of the keys were Jeep with 3 button + panic, and the 3rd was a Jeep 4 button, lock, unlock, liftgate, liftgate window and panic... the last key would not program to the car the key is the same, and I can unlock the door manually, but the electronics don't work, as the 300c doesn't have a liftgate window, so something is different in those keys or in the programming of the brain unit in the car...

I bought them because I have a few Benz switchblade key shells and blanks and I am trying to migrate the 2 keys together to make a functioning switchblade key for my 300....

Is it possible that you hit your 8 key limit? I just added 2 keys that I bought from ebay but they were RFID only and not button enabled. They worked fine but now i'm interested in getting the lock/unlock. I assume that once you programmed the keys to the SKREEM the buttons just worked automagically?
