Hey guys,

We are the distributors for the Volt HID kits. The kits are 35 watts and are single beam. I have them in several different bulb sizes and colors. You can purchase these kits for your other vehicles, they do not have to be for your lx. I have a legitimate 2 year warranty on all components in the kit. I will not run away from you or decline your warranty.

Some information on the kit

Volt HID Digital+ HID Kits

Volt HID Kits offer the latest in High Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon technology. Volt HID utilizes ultra slim-line ballasts with next generation patented Digital+ technology for optimal light output and ballast efficiency. This exclusive HID conversion kit is the leader in digital ballast technology and will provide you with a level of performance and quality that is unmatched by similar digital HID products found on the market today. Volt HID Digital+ ballasts are the smallest and lightest ballasts manufactured today. This new ultra-slim design will enable the product to be used in a wider variety of applications.
To ensure optimal light output, the Volt HID Kit uses laser calibrated bulbs so that the focal point of the HID bulb matches the focal point of the corresponding halogen bulb. This will result in both proper fitment and optically correct beam patterns. These bulbs are rated at approximately 2500 hours of use – same rating as high end Philips and Osram bulbs. Industry leading AMP style connectors are used to ensure proper water tight connections.
Volt HID is manufactured in an industry leading high tech facility. Due to stringent manufacturing standards, this product line carries ISO certification, CE and UL safety listed, and is E4 certified. This product carries a two year legitimate warranty.

What is HID Technology?

Xenon HID lamps do not have a filament like a halogen bulb. Instead the light is created by an electrical discharge between two electrodes in an air tight tiny quartz capsule filled with xenon gas, mercury, and metal halide salts. This improves bulb durability as road vibrations can cause damage to coil lighting technologies. HID conversion kit technology produces a blue-white light that is safer given that it is close to natural daylight. The color temperature is approximately 4200K compared to 3200K for halogen. HID technology also produces increased light output. A 35W Xenon HID lamp will produce approximately double the light of a 55W halogen bulb. Furthermore, HID conversion kit technology will draw less power than a 55W halogen bulb from your vehicle's electrical system.

HID Color Temperature Explained

Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a specific type of light source. Many people believe the misconception that color temperature is a rating of the brightness of the bulb or HID conversion kit. This belief is completely false. The reality of the matter is that the higher the color temperature, the less useable light output you will obtain. A perfect example would be a black light. This light has a color temperature of approximately 12,000k and has almost no usable light or lumen output.

35W vs 55W HID Kits

Extreme Xenon only sells 35W HID conversion kits for several reasons. 55W HID conversion kits do produce slightly more light (approximately 15%-20%) than a 35W HID Kit. This increased light output usually results in a less even light spread and additional glare. 55W ballasts are not as efficient as 35W ballasts that we sell, meaning that 55W ballast longevity will be compromised. Many merchants that sell 55W HID claim that 55W is a superior technology. However, there is a reason that all cars that come with HID lights from the factory still use 35W technology and not 55W technology. These 55W HID kits often overdrive the 35W HID bulb to obtain the increased light output. As a result, you can expect the HID bulb to burn hotter which can damage your headlight. You can also expect a significantly decreased bulb life.

im in need of replacements now but i hate dealing with mail order for something that you need in a clutch especially as glitchy as aftermarket hid kits where ive gotten a bad bulb or balast every time ive bought two sets. how fast is your turn around? do you test ballasts prior to shipping?

Hey JBreezy,

I understand your frustration when it comes to aftermarket HIDs. Most of us have been down that path; seller won't back up his products, takes forever to do warranty work, and so on.

I have learned from those experience in the past before becoming a seller, that customer service is what comes first.

I take pride in my kits and will not back down from my warranty. My kits have a 2 year replacement warranty on each component.

Every component of the kit is tested before shipped. If a bulb or ballast does go out, the turn around is 1 week. Since my distributors are located out of Ontario, it takes a little longer than US mail.
