    KW V2's

I have a used set of KW V2 that I had on my 05 Magnum RT, PN 15227016. I sold my magnum a little over 2 years ago and had hope to pick up another LX sometime to throw these onto but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. They have about 15-20,000 miles on them. So, I would suggest a reubuild from KW. I contacted them in April and this is the charge and service:

"Basic overhaul cost on a V3 and some V2 units is a 125.00 flat rate per damper. This includes Inspection, cleaning, hydraulic fluid change, new seals, and labor.Extra parts beyond what is listed above will have an extra charge. V1 and someV2 units use inserts, and the price changes depending on application".

Since it would cost at least $500 for KW to overhaul the dampners and a brand new set costs just shy of $1700 plus shipping. Not sure what to ask, but let's start at $600.00 obo shipped within the 48 states plus paypal fee. I can email you KW's tech form and instructions but shipping to KW for service would have to be taken care of by the buyer. The kit includes the springs, perches and spanner wrenches. The rears dampners also have the newer style bushings with steel spacers to prevent lateral sliding of the dampner. I can also take some pics tomorrow.

    Thanks,
    scott

Why would they need a rebuild with only 15-20k on them?.... just curious

shoot- to tell you, I don't know. When I pushed the dampners down, they do not rebound. I'm not sure if these are supposed to or not. I know the bilsteins on my truck rebound. The KWs have not and are not leaking any fluid. I'm sure they can be sent in for an inspection and KW can recommend a rebuild or not.

Hey guys, if the price is too high, let a brotha know. The crickets are deafening....
