Thumbs up FS: FRI Sparrow cam

    EDIT 10-25-2012: SOLD !!

Up for sale I have a used Sparrow camshaft that was used in my '07 Charger 5.7 AWD.
The car had about 45,600 miles on it when the cam was removed after the engine dropped a valve seat earlier this year. The car got a stock re-man engine and was traded in little bit later.

The camshaft was installed 3-22-09 at 20,500 miles.

I'd like $300 for it, including Paypal fees and shipping to the "lower 48" states

With the FRI milled Street/Strip heads, Sparrow cam, JBA shorty headers, JBA cat-back, OEM cats:

The cam and its specs :

    Thanks guys

This cam did pull like crazy, I had 6400-rpm shift points and that engine loved to go there daily ... lol

This was with only the driver's seat in the car, since I was driving on my way to pick up a set of SRT seats, long gone now ... :(

When I had this cam installed I went with new heads too so I got new head bolts, cam bolt, coolant/oil, head gaskets, exhaust header gaskets, and I forget what else ... not sure if you'd need all of that if just doing a cam, especially not if you're not gonna remove the heads to do it, which IS do-able ...

I wish I also got a 6.1 timing chain when I got the cam done, but never had an issue with the stock 5.7 unit .... I do have now a 6.1 timing chain available, used only for about 1 week before the motor dropped a valve seat and needed replacement ...

Let me know if you're interested

I got about 410 rwhp with this cam and my supporting mods. And the only 5.7 NA guys faster than me are forged high compression motors.

I would jump on this deal immediately if I didn't already have a sparrow cam and knew the potential of it.
    Gabe likes this.

Yeah, new springs are definitely recommended with this cam.

There are people out there running the stock 6.1 springs with this cam and still using MDS ... I had PAC racing springs and I had 6.1 lifters, so no MDS, which I loved anyway since I had the MDS shut off ever since I got the tuner, back in December 2007 ... lol
