1 SET! 2005 5.7L Hemi Valve covers

This is the second set. THIS SET WAS A PIANT JOB ATTEMPT GONE BAD AND LEFT TO NEVER FINISH. the paint never took right and the idea was to strip the paint and polish which never happened. These where bought on the forum with 72,000 miles living in the engine bay and never again installed. Lets say $50.00 shipped lower 48.

Joker did you change them out yourself???? What did it entail? Easy, hard oil spillage? Pictures?

Did them myself. Easy kinda. About a 8 on 1-10 sale of hard only because it's a pita to get to the bolts on passanger back side near firewall.
8mm deep socket small rachet ( be prepared to bang your hands up). Hammer to tap the old valve covers off. Tap at corners. If you have a Z mounted catch can remove it. I did new gaskets for the hell of it. They say you can reuse your old ones, but I've got 92,000 and figured what's $20 more bucks. No oil leakage. Nothing to worry about. Oh the top center bolt is longer than the rest and has a ground wire connected to it. I used a simple 8mm wrench on those. No pictures because I was so excited and thought it would be a 30 minute job. Took me 6 hours, but I went slow to be sure everything g was right. Never did this on a HEMI. Only 4 bangers back in the day.

Um... all you had to do is use a looooong extension to get to that bolt.

'05 rat nest sir. I believe that '06 and up are plastic.

Nice; IF I just didn't have so much going on right now that would be so cool to have and extra set; get painted and move onto all FOUR of our 2005 R/Ts, doing ONE at a time.
