We're Back!

Welcome members of DodgeMagnum.Net and DodgeMagnumClub.Com to our new forum! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for being patient with the switchover from DM.Net and look forward to meeting all the new members from DMclub!

The biggest change probably comes to members of DM.Net. As you can see we have some new surroundings... but for the most part, everything is setup pretty much the same. The new forum software is a bit different then what you may be used to on the old forums, but many of the features are easier to use.

***A few things to note ***

Private Messages
You may notice that you have ALOT of unread Private Messages. An odd byproduct of the import was that every PM you have ever sent is showing up in your PM Box as unread. Many of you will have so many old PMs that your box will be full and you will be unable to send or receive PMs. So one of the first things you should do is go to your PM Box and clear out any unwanted messages (don't forget your sentbox! They count towards your quota) and mark all of your messages as "read".

Avatars
Because of some of the differences in the old and new software, most everyone's (with a few exceptions) avatars did not transfer over. Simply upload a new one. Sorry!

Posting
Kinda neat huh? For those familiar with Microsoft Word and other word processing programs, you'll find using this forum software very easy to use. The bold, italics, underline, font size and type buttons are all pretty much plucked right out of Word. If you are confused what a button does, simply rest your pointer over the button and a small decription will appear.

Links and Pictures
You are going to notice ALOT of broken links or pictures in old posts that no longer point to anything anymore. Why? They point to topics or pictures on the old board. Since it no longer exists, those links are dead. Bummer? Well, not really...remember all of the old posts and topics transferred over to this board. Simply use the search button to find the information you were originally looking for.

Time Settings
Your default time settings did not transfer over as well. Simply go into your UserCP and under Options, select your correct time zone and the board will show the correct time for all of the posts.

There is going to be some getting used to the new board and there may be some teething pain, but rest assured we will try to help as much as we can.

I would just like to add that if any of you have any problems figuring out the new board, please feel free to contact myself or any of the other admin's or super moderators. We're a very approachable bunch of guys, really! Our bark is far more worse than our bite.

Wait a second - wouldn't that be a MIDNIGHT Blue finish?!!

We're getting the link up - fear not, they are still around.

And I have to say, what a wonder first day on the new server! Most users online is always a good sign. Things are going very well. :grin:

I discovered something that might help those having problems with the new site: if you're trying to access the new site using and old favorite link, you may have issues. I deleted my old favorite and added a new one

Yes, please update your favorites. If you access the site through a old link, it tends to screw some of the links up top up abit. Everything still works, but some of the links get caught in a loop.

When we switch to the "end site" lxforums.com, we will have a few different emil addresses to choose from. Those with existing email accounts will have to have new email accounts created since we are with a new host...but you get to keep the same name.

For sure! Going through the old link was a disaster for me. I changed to the portal site and all my problems went away. I really like this format. Excellent!!
