Photo Album is Here!

As of today, our Site Supporters can now host pictures in an online Photo Album. (Though only Site Supporters can upload pics to galleries, all members can view the images and galleries. ) Members with access can upload pictures of their cars to have an online "garage".

Note: I will be adding the ability to attach files to posts shortly which will be available to everyone. The photo albums mentioned in this post are a perk for Site Supporters.

To access the photo album, click the Photo Album link at the top of the page. (Note the new Site Supporter's toolbar? )

You will access a page that has two public albums. You will also see a link to your "Personal Album". If you are uploading a picture of your car or pictures of yourself, etc...upload those to your personal album. Any picture that would benefit others on the site, you can upload to the appropriate "Public" album.

There are limits to the size and type of files you can upload. The picture you upload should be 125KB or smaller and currently a jpg, gif or png file. The image must also be 800 X 600 or smaller.

To view pictures in other's personal albums, click the gallery link in their profile.

Currently, after uploading a picture, if you try to link it to a post with the "[/img]" tags, it will not work because the pictures end in "picid=12" and not the file type. So until I fix that, you can link to the pictures in your posts using the [/url] tags.

I'll be adding instructions in more detail to the Knowledge Base shortly.

I do want to add, (so noone feels left out). I will be adding the capability to attach files to your posts very soon for EVERYONE.

The Photo Album is a perk for Site Supporters though.
