Click here or click on the "Visit our new chat room" link at the top of your page.
When you are taken to the page, an applet will launch. If you are asked to download a file, click "YES". After that, you will be connected to the chatroom (it may take upwards of a minute to fully log in to the chatroom).
You MUST be logged INTO the forums in ORDER to use the chatroom. You will automatically be given your forum username in the chatroom.
The basic rules are the same as the forums. Respect each other and have fun.

Did you get a box asking you download a file? If so and you closed it or hit no, you will get nothing.

You might have your internet settings set to not accept file downloads FROM an unknown source. (???)
