Now that I've rejuvenated from the meet I just want to take a minute of your time to say how much I appreciated the care and concern shown by so many of my fellow LXr's. I was really unsure if I was going to manage to make it out. But after SRTJohn stepped up and replaced the leaking radiator hose on the sled I knew I had to give it a shot. A huge thanks goes out to my Bro Fred who detailed the sled at the meet as if she were his own! I surely could not have been there had he not driven me and looked after setting up the car.
To everyone who stopped by to visit with me, whether it was to offer a firm handshake, a bit of encouragement, a pat on the back or a warm embrace I thank you. Everyone's well wishes and prayers are truly appreciated. I have been a member of this community even longer than the five years I've owned the sled and a more genuine group of people would be hard to find.
To all of the new people I met who happen to read this post, shoot me a friend request as i would love to keep in touch with you.
Again i can't thank you all enough for your encouragement, well wishes and prayers as I work toward getting back on my feet and behind the wheel of the sled myself. It took a lot out of me to show up in my chair and spend time at the meet but it was certainly worth every minute. Just as Fred had loaded the car and we were preparing to leave Ralph Gilles strolls up, shakes my hand and asks "is this your baby?" Stunned, I proudly say yes sir, and he proceeds to ask if he could take a picture of the Sled! I'm thinking “are you serious” of course you can. And he proceeds to run over to his car and come back with camera in hand. I'm so shocked at this point that I couldn't even think of a good place for him to sign the sled, nor did I remember to have my picture taken with The Man, The HBIC (Head Brotha In Charge)! Aah maybe next year!

You will get over the awe in a couple of years. I made sure that I got someone to take my photo with Ralph.
My car was driven and signed by Bob Bondurant, not sure I want to contaminate that.
I don't know you but hope you recover soon.
Hey Erik, it was good seeing and catching up with you again. I know you were struggling to be at USW and SF but you didn't let it stop you from being there. I'll PM you my contact info, keep in touch.

Likewise Bro. I really appreciated you visiting me in the skilled nursing center (fancy for convalescent home). The grannies and grandpas weren't up to talking cars...LOL
Thanks for your well wishes.
It was a pleasure as always Raymond!
Appreciate those who have liked this thread!
I put 2 and 3 together and came out with 5.
You were at USW Forged with a beautiful Magnum. The Maggie has some nicely done red flames. I don't care for huge flames.
Eric,
Good to see you again my friend as its been too long already. I do hope and pray things work out for the best!
I was wondering who was cleaning your car so diligently, kudos to Fred for helping out
As always, the ride looks fantastic!
