    Mods for SF7

hemiwagn, requested to start a "Mods SF7" Thread, so here it is, no matter how small or big a mod if you would like to share what mods you are planning for SF7, here is the place. SF has become the MECA for the LX/LC/LD platform, this is were you will see it all. By no means having mods required, just come out and enjoy the cars and the people...So let's see what you have planned...

I have been tweeting my preps- will load pics and tease away. Mine are not major mods, though it is a big step for me.
I have always been "stock enhanced" and a sleeper with the mods more on the GO side then the SHOW side. My new hood kills the whole sleeper vibe as evidenced by all the looks I have been getting lately.
The rest of the mods are pretty much a facelift to make up for the 119,000 miles in the desert( = sandblasting the nose)
This year may be mild still- but losing the sleeper status has opened up a whole world for next year!

Well let's see..... There is the new shaved hatch and revised spoiler....and it will have a couple of, shall I say "different" features I don't think anyone has done before.
Then there are the led tails with some trick electronics (JAAK help!).
Maybe one other weight saving part too...

But because SF is "THE Show" I want to make the girl pretty and useful, so I will be adding back a few pieces to look nice in California, including some BT bling, but stuff that can be unbolted and easily removed when it comes to serious track time. Stay tuned.

I'm doing the airline ticket mod. Charger is not gonna make the trip this year.

Any suggestions on car rental places that offer LX's?

Ask Witold Westcoast R/T. He's rented a challenger the last few years.

Shaved Hatch and Spoiler mod for SF7

I posted this in the magnum section, but I'll redo it here and post all my other upcoming mods in this thread.

Finally, after running a over a year spoilerless and wiperless, I've decided to clean up the hemiwagn's tail.

Shaved and filled hatch, plus a reshaped and molded in spoiler and new 32" LED 3rd brake light strip.
The lens for the brake light will be smoked, not red, on the final install.

Here are a couple of pics....

And remember, the hemiwagn is now mostly a drag car, so saving weight is important....
Thus the electric latch will be delted and an old fashioned cable release is being put in its place....

There are a couple of other things about this hatch that I don't think anyone has done before, stay tuned to this thread for updates!

Or better yet, come to SF7 and see 'em yourself!

I was going to wash my car. Does that count as a mod? I heard that the dirt on it has a golf ball effect and cuts down on air resistance....so in essence I'm making my car slower, but prettier
